Moving and travel tomorrow
Let's say that you finally decided to move for a week with your girlfriend, because she is at school in another town and you don't have too much time to spend together. So you just had the great idea to surprise her, and when you browsed the web to see when it is the next train, you found out that it will leave in about one hour. So you have only little time to decide and make your backpack. But you have so much stuff that you may need, that you can't decide. The secret of light and also fast backpacking is to decide what exactly you are already using the most, without what objects you cannot live etc. Everyone first thinks about the clothes. The great idea I have for packing fast is to clean your bed so that you can put on it everything that you think you will put in your backpack. This way, after you had finished gathering all the things, you will have the chance to have a second look and maybe decide to not put certain thing in the backpack at all. Also you have the chance to notice that you had not forgotten anything, a thing that you can't do if you are putting from the start all the things in the backpack. For the guys is quite easy really, because they already have the shoes that will use in the next week in the foot (the girls will probably want to pack an extra pair, just in case).
You will probably forget about your pajamas, so prepare them first. Also you will need some t-shirts, some trousers. Pack at least one pair of jeans, in case you will go out, because the jeans fit most of the occasions. Of course that you will need to think about the underwear too and of course soma pairs of socks. For each of them, try to be practical and don't put too many, but not less.
Then think about other things that you need: your wallet and money at first (so that in case you have forgotten something that you really need, to have enough money to buy it). Put your perfume, deodorant, toothbrush and paste. Don't forget your shaving and styling accessories if you are a guy. Also you can put your cell phone, your digital camera and the chargers for both of them.
